Dr. Mark Carr

Dr. Carr graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1985, the year he and his wife, Mary Beth, moved to Cameron. They have four children. John is the Department Head for the Department of Emergency and Disaster Management at NWMSU and teaches several classes in the major. Laura is an Intensive Care RN at Truman Lakewood Hospital in Kansas City and is working on her Doctor of Family Nurse Practitioner Degree. Emily finished her volleyball career and graduated from Loyola University-Chicago with a Degree in Accounting and passed her CPA exams.  She has accepted a position with Grant Thornton in Chicago as a CPA. Andrew is a Sophomore at the University of Missouri studying to be a Doctor of Physical Therapy, he is a kicker on the Mizzou football team, #93. GO MIZZOU!!!
Mark and Mary Beth spend their time outside of the office following kid's activities and attending MU football games. Dr. Carr has served as an officer in the United States Army as a Medic and then as a Dentist , as well as on the Missouri Veteran's Home Board. He has served on the Boy Scouts of America Executive Board for the Pony Express Council. He has also served on the City of Cameron Planning and Zoning Board and the City Council. Dr. Carr was Chairman of the Comprehensive Plan Committee which wrote the current ten year plan for the city.
Dr. Carr's hobbies include woodworking, photography, flying, high power rocketry, family history and genealogy, tall case clock collecting and restoration, as well as gardening, shotgun sports and gun collecting. He has been featured on the Discovery Channel twice with his rockets and his personal altitude record is 37,505 feet. He is the curator for the Carr Homestead Foundation and he has appeared on Antiques Roadshow.

Marlene’s greatest interests lies in activities with her family.  She and her husband are the proud grandparents of three boys and two girls.  She also enjoys music, cooking, and working around the house.  Marlene has been the Office Manager since 1996 and enjoys getting to know our many wonderful patients.

Jennifer is married and has three children, two daughters and a son. She attended Concorde Career Institute in Kansas City and has been a dental assistant since 1998. She enjoys going to many sporting events her children participate in and spending time with family and friends. She has been a part of the Carr team since 2003.


Kelsey graduated from North Central Missouri College where she received her Dental Hygiene degree and license. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, daughter and son in their hometown of Maysville.  Kelsey has been part of Dr. Carr's team since July 2014.



Kyndra graduated from North Central Missouri College in 2016, where she received her Dental Hygiene degree and license.  She was previously a clinical assistant in our office and lives in Hamilton with her husband Dustin and daughter Macee, who is 6!  She has been part of Dr. Carr's team since January 2011.  Kyndra enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  

Christy moved to Cameron 4 years ago and has two children, Kyler is 11 and Sydnee is 9. She has been a dental assistant since 2009 and previously an orthodontic assistant. She enjoys going to KC Royals games and watching her kids excel in all their activities on and off the field. She has been a part of the Carr team since August 2014.

Emily joined our office in September of 2017!  She just got married in October to her husband Travis and they have one child together.  Emily is attending Missouri Western State University.  With her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

 Mary Beth Carr


Mary Beth is married to Dr. Carr. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State Univeristy with a degree in Vocational Home Economics and received her Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Missouri. Kansas City. Mary Beth taught Family and Consumer Science classes at the middle school and high school level. She also worked as a Univeristy Extension Specialist and County Program Director for the University of Missouri Extension Service. She enjoys her family, especially watching them participate in their extracurricular activities. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking and reading.
